This painting is special to me as it was not only the first painting I sold, but it kicked off a series of images that I’ve been painting inspired by some old cine film I came across while researching my Uncle’s childhood memories in Glenarm in Northern Ireland. There’s something about not quite not knowing who this character is, where he’s come from and where he might be heading that fascinated me. Each painting has been a little journey into the past which I’ve loved exploring.
