Getting ready for an art fair

Bobby Mills, oil on board

I’m still new to this art fair business but this one is feeling a bit calmer than the first. I hadn’t a clue about framing, labelling, pricing, hanging.. gah. But once you’ve done it once, you learn heaps for the next one. Which is in a couple of weeks, as part of the Barnes Art Fair. This should hopefully be a smoother ride, I’ve been painting consistently (not quickly, consistently).. so should have enough pieces to share. There’ll be some of my pictures of Northern Irish village life (like Bobby Mills), some flowers and watercolours from some plein air painting over the summer. I also have a studio now, with a bit of rejigging at home I have combined spaces to put art at the heart of what I do. It all feels a bit better (not easier, but better..).
